MINUTES OF SELECTMEN MEETING – September 26, 2011 5:00 PM

Jessica, Assessor Clerk requested the board to schedule the Fiscal 2012 Classification Hearing for Monday, October 03, 2011.
The Department of Revenue requests all tax rate forms to be reported through Gateway a digital system. Each department reporting will be responsible for their electronic signature. Eric will sign for the Board of Selectmen and will meet with Jess to process all forms.
Jess requested authorization to sell items (wooden folding chairs) that are located in the Library basement. The board stated that the wooden folding chairs belonged to Ladies Aid. Jess will speak with Shirley Warner.
Fire Chief, Robert Littlefield requested the use of the Tolland Town Hall (Oct. 18,19,20,25,26 & 27th).
Robert requested the use of the town’s debit card for the purchase of a GPS that was budgeted in their FY12 budget. The Fire Department budgeted $1,000 for the purchase of a fire hose rack. The fire hose rack was received through donation monies. The Chief would like to use the fire hose budgeted monies to fund a gear rack. Authorization granted.
John Verones gave the board an option of eliminating Construction Material Testing with an approximately cost of $14,000 leaving a contingency balance of $44,774.00. The board was accepting of the elimination
The Board of Selectmen voted unanimously to authorized John to use monies from the generator quote to move forward with the installation of the piping and concrete pad.
Interior colors for the Public Safety Complex were decided.
